TCV Scotland Environmental Training Programme includes a fantastic range of short courses in locations across Scotland. The programme reflects the huge range of activity present in environmental volunteering in Scotland today including: rural skills training, gardening, group leadership in the outdoors, health and safety, volunteer recruitment and evaluation, fund-raising, community engagement, outdoor learning, species ID and practical surveying training. There are places for up to 15 participants on most of the courses and a TCV Scotland certificate is issued for most of our courses. Successful participants for Pesticides, Brushcutters, Grass and Hedgecutting courses will receive a Lantra certificate. First Aid at Work courses also provides certificates.
I've just finished the Phase 1 Habitat survey course with Abbie Patterson at Mortonhall in Edinburgh. I just wanted to say a massive thanks to TCV (and Abbie!) for an absolutely fantastic, engaging and useful course. Abbie is a great teacher and explained both the theory and practical application of the Phase 1 methodology clearly and in an easily accessible way.
Bespoke training, workshops and events can be organised, tailored to your own organisations needs, at a venue of your choice. Contact Tricia Burden for more information.
