Thursday 16th April 7:30pm - 9:30pm Toad-ally awesome

Hoping (or hopping?) that this will be the peak of the toad breeding season.

Thursday 14th May 7:30pm - 9:30pm Newtiful

Finally, as it warms up - we aim to catch the newt breeding season.

Friday 6 March 2015 9:30am-3:30pm. Spring Festival!

Days are getting longer, warmer and the snow drops are appearing. This can only mean one thing… It’s almost time for Skelton Grange’s Spring Festival.

This is a chance to welcome in the spring with a day of activities and workshops. Including, fruit tree grafting, mushroom growing (including mushroom logs) as well as some green woodwork and a bit of whittling!

With a campfire and food this will be a great way for us to bring an end to the winter season of woodland work, to say thanks to some of our regular volunteers and hopefully to welcome some new faces to Skelton Grange.

Friday 13th March 2015 9:30am-3:30pm. Wood you like to join us...

for some woodland management!? Help increase bio-diversity of the wood onsite and learn about the skills involved in keeping the woodland a haven for wildlife and a great place for a stroll by the river! Feel free to come armed with your own puns!

Friday 20th March 2015 9:30am-3:30pm. The path more travelled

Skelton’s getting busy; giving some old paths a makeover! As well as renewing the board walks near the pond so no one goes for a surprise swim come pond dipping season and finishing off any winter management tasks so that Skelton is well and truly ready to Spring into action!

Friday 27th March 2015 9:30am-3:30pm. Up the Garden Path

Skelton’s paths continue their makeover, this week we will be adding some wood chip to the mix. The parts of the site used in education days will also be getting some attention; ready for lots of tiny feet to get trampling and exploring!

Please note that all dates and practical content may be subject to changes.
