The Master Classes (workshops and webinars), were designed to further enhance the support for environmental organisations and local community groups to address new barriers to volunteering and identify new methods to overcome these issues. The aspiration was that it further built connections and networks and enhanced the legacy of the work undertaken.

This was in partnership with Euro Park as they are coming to the end of a 3 year funded project linked to Volunteer management and presented a great opportunity to learn from them as they reflected and talked through results of the project.
The webinar aimed to help understand the current volunteering landscape and to explore some social trends that are or have the potential to affect volunteering.
This session was lead by Rob Jackson from Rob Jackson Consulting. He is an expert in providing consultancy and training services in strategic volunteer engagement and volunteer management.
This one day session was suitable for anyone who manages volunteers and wants to improve their performance. It covered motivating volunteers to achieve, difficulties that volunteers present, strategies for resolving difficulties, improving volunteer performance and leadership styles that get the most out of people.
The seminar was lead by Beverley Taylor. She has been working in voluntary projects for 25 years and currently runs a national voluntary organisation, Managing Partnerships.
