Good News

Our office good news tree

Here is our good news tree.

It changes with the seasons and each leaf contains a person's good news story!

Thank you from Bryony

Bryony came to TCV needing help and support with her jobseeking. We helped produce a professional CV and worked with her to increase her confidence and self-esteem through directing her jobsearch activities and giving her interview training. She then secured employment at the Chequers Hotel in Dalton in Furness as an apprentice receptionist.

Just a quick note to say thank you for all your support. I had been struggling alone in my job search for some time. Your friendly advice and support was invaluable, it gave me the confidence in interview situations, it also helped me to create a winning CV and get me motivated to succeed. Thanks again from Bryony

Kevin

Kevin needed additional help and support with his ideas to channel his transferable skills from past employment and experiences to successfully set up his own business TCV provided support and encouragement with his Self-employment ideas.

I found the staff at TCV friendly and always willing to listen, they helped me with my research and I became Self-Employed. I will still continue to talk to and use the advice off the staff at TCV as I venture into Self-Employment. Thank you all. Kevin

The Work Programme, in partnership with Ingeus

In Workington, Carlisle, Kendal and Barrow in Furness

TCV Employment and Training Services is working with Ingeus to deliver the Work Programme, a government funded welfare to work programme which is match funded by the European Social Fund.

The Work Programme represents a step change for Welfare to Work in this country, creating a structure that treats people as individuals and allows providers greater freedom to tailor the right support to the individual needs of each customer.

It has replaced previous programmes for unemployed people.

The Work Programme will also ensure good value for money for the taxpayer. It is very much a partnership between Government and providers from across the public, private and third sectors - including social enterprises.
