Community groups in Doncaster are being sought to apply for funds of around £2000 and make an environmental project happen in their area. We want to hear from local communities about the projects important to them and help make one happen. We are particularly interested to hear of ideas that follow an environmental theme, promote volunteering and preferably involve an element of working with schools and / or disadvantaged people. Examples could include building a small community garden area, planting new hedgerows, sowing wildflower areas, a community tidy up day or building raised beds. However, any other ideas that fit the criteria are welcomed.
All projects must be based in Doncaster with preference given towards ones based in and around Armthorpe. Smaller groups with a high level of community involvement and with well planned projects will have a greater chance of success. The deadline for applications is now extended to Monday 19 November at 5pm.
