We are delighted to announce that TCV has been selected as Wates 2018-20 Charity of the Year partner.

This new partnership will engage with 4,000 Wates employees to fundraising and volunteering support of our work to create healthier and happier communities for everyone by connecting people with their local green spaces.

Their first fundraising challenge will take place during their Reshaping Tomorrow week in June where their enthusiastic employees will participate in completing a 12-hour canoeing and hiking challenge in Dorset.

The Conservation Volunteers fits extremely well with our company values and our ethos of sustainability. By partnering with TCV, everyone in Wates will have opportunities to volunteer on projects across the country, transforming green spaces and creating better environments.

I encourage everyone to think about how they can use their volunteering hours in support of TCV’s incredible work and I look forward to getting involved and working with our colleagues to help make a real difference in the communities in which we work and live.

David Allen, Chief Executive at Wates Group

Wates have incredible enthusiasm and expertise when it comes to raising valuable funds for good causes, and I'm absolutely thrilled that they have chosen TCV to be their new Charity of the Year. Across the UK, we see people and green spaces facing some enormous challenges right now – with Wates’ valuable support we’ll be able to deliver more of our important work for the benefit of both.
