Teachers and pupils gardening in a polytunnel

When Ballycraigy Primary School in Antrim planned to upgrade their outdoor space, they met with TCV staff in Coleraine and agreed what would be required.

At the begining of the year, TCV's team installed a polytunnel/outdoor classroom with blackboard and science tables, a woodland trail entrance archway, fencing and a mixed native hedgerow; with some maintenance of their existing willow dome, edged path and boardwalk.

This week we were so happy to hear of the school's success, having been awarded the 'Cultivation School of the Year' with vouchers to enable further beneficial features to be installed.  We extend our sincere congratulations to all Ballycraigy Primary School pupils, teachers and parents!
