The Belfast Conservation Action Team recently completed a new garden area at Woodburn Primary School in Carrickfergus.
Features included raised beds for vegetable growing, a wildlife pond, a living-willow dome which can be used as a shaded outdoor study area, log seating and a small copse of native trees with wildflowers.
Fruit trees were also planted by the school.
The pupils and staff were using the area almost immediately, even as we were adding the finishing touches to the garden!
