Like any urban area, Glasgow has many underused plots of land and derelict corners, sometimes called 'stalled spaces'. Many of these areas have been developed by resident groups and local associations as community gardens and 'growing' spaces.
This free event will provide an introduction to what is involved in developing such projects - the opportunities and the challenges. Representatives from existing projects will share their experiences, and staff from relevant organisations will highlight some of the support and funding available to such schemes. Beginning with a networking lunch, it's hoped participants will gain ideas, inspiration and useful contacts for their own project proposals.
