A free workshop in Cumbernauld on 2 February will bring together a number of organisations involved in using greenspaces to promote improved mental health and wellbeing.
There is growing evidence that being active and learning new skills in the outdoors is extremely beneficial to our mental wellbeing. A number of exciting projects are springing up across Scotland to deliver these benefits, ranging from health walks to programmes such as the Forestry Commission's 'Branching Out' and TCV's '5 Ways Well Green Gyms'. This event will celebrate the new 'Wild Ways Well' programme which TCV has piloted in partnership with Cumbernauld Living Landscape during 2016. The event, beginning with a networking lunch, will feature speakers from a range of partners and participants in the programme, as well as hearing the experiences of other organisations such as the Forestry Commission Scotland and Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health.
Thursday 2 February, 12-3pm
Muirfield Community Centre, 1 Brown Road, Cumbernauld, G67 1AA
