People with disabilities face many barriers to getting outdoors and enjoying nature. This free learning and networking event will highlight some of TCV's partnership-based programmes which overcome these barriers, what participants have said, and key learning around increasing access to the outdoors for people with disabilities. Representatives from Deaf Action and Scottish Autism will talk about the benefits gained by their service users in accessing nature through outdoor activity programmes. TCV staff will also be on hand to explain how people with disabilities in the Falkirk area can get involved in the new Jupiter Nature Connections programme.
Each year TCV organises a programme of free 'Forum Exchanges' bringing together staff and volunteers from the environmental and complementary sectors to highlight and learn about topics of mutual interest.
