Planting apple trees in Penicuik

RBS volunteers at Penicuik

Thanks to the team from RBS who this week planted 10 apple trees with protective wooden cages at the Lost Garden of Penicuik, just south of Edinburgh.

The trees were of heritage varieties including Clydeside, Hoods Supreme and East Lothian Pippin, and they will be a welcome addition to this former estate walled garden which is being brought back to life through the efforts of a local Trust and its dedicated volunteers. This event commemorated 10 years of partnership between TCV and RBS, during which time over 16,500 RBS staff have worked on community conservation projects across the UK.
