The Conservation Volunteers works in partnership with local councils in Hampshire to help them care for their green spaces and engage with local people. We have found that our expertise and resources can be extremely useful to local councils, especially as they take on responsibility for more and more green spaces.
The services we offer local councils include:
Biodiversity Action Teams: Working with volunteers to make practical improvements on the ground; from habitat management to access improvement.
Training: Tailored courses for countryside staff and volunteers to improve practical skills, work with volunteers and manage safety.
Community engagement: TCV works with communities and landowners to encourage people to take an active role in the creation and care of local outdoor spaces.
Site management advice: TCV can help local councils plan site management to benefit both wildlife and the local communities.
Project planning and fundraising: TCV can help local councils to plan, fund and deliver projects.
