Natural Talent

Natural Talent is how we describe our training and skills development offer.  It reflects our view that everyone can learn and flourish, if given the right support and environment to grow in.

We run training courses and workshops in many parts of the six counties.  These last from a few hours to three days, but the majority are one-day long.

We provide training in:

Practical Conservation Skills
e.g. fencing, walling, hedge-laying, tree felling, boardwalks, tool maintenance

Organsational Skills
e.g. project leadership, risk assessment, first aid

Habitat Management & Ecological Techniques
e.g. species identification, surveying, woodland management

Training Programme

Please contact us to find out about our current programme. We add new courses to this as and when they’re arranged; this is often done at quite short notice, so please do check back frequently.

Costs

Our courses and workshops cost £80 a day to attend, (£140 for a two day course). A discounted cost of £72 (£126) is available to anyone who’s volunteered with TCV in the past six months, or for any individuals from a group that’s a member of the TCV Community Network.  However, more often than not we’re able to access additional resources that enable us to reduce the cost for you. This is why you will see that many events are available for less. All prices include VAT.

If you’re part of a group who all want to attend the same event, you may find it cheaper or more convenient for us to run it especially for you.  If you want to find out more about this option, please let us know.
