Planting a tree in memory of someone special is a powerful way to remember a loved one.
It’s more than a tribute – it’s a living legacy that protects wildlife, restores nature and brings hope for the future.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone who donated to plant a tree in memory of a loved one. These trees have now all been planted by community groups and TCV volunteers.
The trees have been planted in Howden, East Riding to form part of new woodlands which will grow and develop to benefit climate, wildlife, and communities for years to come.
A variety of trees were planted, including Hazel, Grey Willow and Silver Birch.

FAQs
This year, all In Memory trees will be planted in woodlands managed by the Community Forest Trust. These include areas across Humber, East Riding, North Yorkshire, and the northeast up to Newcastle.
While we cannot provide the exact location of each individual tree, they will be planted in groups of at least 100 – increasing their ecological impact and giving them the best possible chance to thrive. Together, these trees will support nature, help mitigate the impacts of climate change, and grow into a lasting legacy for your loved one.
