Training Courses ~ Impact Testimonials

Thanks to support from People’s Postcode Lottery players in 2019, TCV has delivered 21 face-to-face training courses for 134 staff and volunteers. These courses increase practical skills in areas such as project leadership, fungi identification to mental health first aid training.

Here’s what some of the people gained from the training.

Fungi identification

Participants explored local woodlands for – Fungi Fanatic. The course help to introduce participants to the world of fungi identification and how identification can be incorporated into local activities such as health walks etc.

Introduction to carpentry

This practical introduction to carpentry gave participants the knowledge to use basic carpentry techniques in a relaxed setting enabling participants to be more confident in supporting volunteer groups with basic carpentry tasks. Ending with a group task to build a new work bench by the end of the day.

Pond dipping
