TCV and OVO Energy’s ‘I Dig Trees’ programme has been running for six years and has planted nearly 1,500,000 trees! The programme provides free tree packs for community groups to plant in their local green space, as well as opportunities for people to volunteer at organised tree planting events.

The vital funding supports a range of activity which contributes to a range of social, economic and environmental outcomes.
Key amongst these are enabling more people to enjoy and learn about the outdoors through volunteering; improving people’s health and well-being; providing new experiences and developing skills; delivering work to care for and improve the nature and landscapes of Scotland; building stronger communities and commitment to improving their local environment.

Public Health Agency Northern Ireland has supported TCV for many years and our programmes help to realise their vision that all people and communities are enabled and supported in achieving their full health and wellbeing potential, and inequalities in health are reduced.
TCV has been fortunate enough to receive funding for over 100 projects and is proud to call The National Lottery one of our largest funders. Players have supported projects to connect people to green spaces, as well as developing how social prescribing can be used by clinicians.
