Volunteering in Hounslow

TCV works on several sites in Hounslow. You can join one of our Green Gym™s, our Biodiversity Action Team or our Reclaiming the Riverside project to improve sites for people and nature across the area.

We also offer Employee Volunteering experiences where businesses can give back to the community.

Green Gyms

The Green Gym is an innovative way to keep fit and improve wellbeing whilst transforming the local environment. Participants find they can burn a third more calories in a Green Gym session than in traditional aerobic workout!

Isleworth Green Gym

We run Isleworth Green Gym at three different sites on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. It’s a free opportunity for local people to get involved in transforming local spaces for the benefit of wildlife and the local community. Please contact Naomi on gg-isleworth@tcv.org.uk or 07483149629 to book your place and for more information.

Community Green Gyms

There are also two community Green Gyms – at Pevensey Road Local Nature Reserve and Hounslow Heath.

Reclaiming the Riverside

TCV’s ‘Reclaiming the Riverside’ will restore the green corridor along the River Crane at Cranford, West London, revitalising 3km of riverside and adjoining habitat and putting the diverse local community at the heart of delivery. Find out more about Reclaiming the Riverside.

Biodiversity Action Team

The Hounslow and Richmond biodiversity Action Team run conservation projects in Richmond and Hounslow. Meeting at 10am by the Bridge to Eel Pie Island, or onsite.

Upcoming activities

Our projects are open to all ages – you don’t have have any practical skills – we’ll help you learn. And if you want to get more involved you can become a volunteer officer – and help run the project.

Employee Volunteering

Enjoy a day out of the office whilst giving back to the community, working as a team in a fresh environment and learning some new and unusual skills.  See more about our Employee Action Days here.
