The Conservation Volunteers are pleased to announce that we are one of the many charities around the world who are being supported by ICAP Charity Day, taking place on Thursday 10th December 2020.
The ICAP Charity Day has been running since 1993 and sees the interdealer broker globally raise and donate 100% of their revenues and commissions to charity for one day, with the help of some of famous faces.
Since 1993 an incredible c. £150 million has been raised for charities worldwide and TCV are excited to be part of the fantastic fundraising event this year.
With the money received from the ICAP Charity Day, we will be launching The ICAP Fruit Tree Initiative – From the Ground Up!
The ICAP Fruit Tree Initiative – From the Ground Up! engages and educates 15,000 schoolchildren in the natural outdoor classroom. They plant, nurture and care for fruit trees, and by seeing their trees flourish and produce a ‘pickable’ fruit snack, they develop a life-long relationship with nature and healthy eating.
We are delighted to be one of the ICAP Charity Day charities to support our new school tree planting initiative, From the Ground Up!
In a total of 24hrs across the world, ICAP will be fundraising for so many charities worldwide, giving 100% of their profits and commissions. We are excited to be part of this fantastic day and would like to thank all their employees, clients and suppliers for their time and generosity.”

Since the 1970’s, opportunities for children to explore and learn about the environment have reduced dramatically and, with more than 10,000 school playing fields across Britain turned over to development, it’s unsurprising that our children are disconnecting from nature [1] [2].
Based on these challenging circumstances, The ICAP Fruit Tree Initiative will give many children their first opportunity to connect with nature, creating positive lifelong memories after a time where the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the life of every child in the country.
