Your votes and shares in the M&S Energy Fund has meant that TCV's Skelton Grange in Leeds can install a Green Machine – a renewable energy source to keep our staff, volunteers and visitors warm.
After a nerve-wrecking 3 weeks of campaigning for votes and watching the leader position swap on an almost daily basis, we're now the very happy recipients of £12,500.
This money will mean we can install a new ground source heat pump, which will improve Skelton Grange's community facility by making it warmer and more comfortable to use. It will also have a positive effect on the local environment and allow us to reinvest the saved money back into the education sessions and conservation and biodiversity projects at the centre.
The money came from the M&S Energy fund, which is part of M&S' Plan A – its ethical and environmental programme. Targeted towards enabling UK communities to generate renewable energy and become environmentally and financially sustainable, we felt our need was a perfect match.
And it seems you did too. Thank you once again for helping to make this happen. Your support means a great deal to us – we couldn't have done it without you.
