Kathryn, one of our volunteers at The Conservation Volunteers Charity shop in Sheffield is pictured here with a very special comic.
A recent donation of some old Marvel comics to the shop proved to be great one. The Silver Surfer himself came to our rescue and managed to raise over £70!!
When donated one of our volunteers thought the comic may be valuable – although slightly old and worn and after some quick research we established that they could still be quite precious.
Having quickly ‘surfed’ its way over to EBay the bids began immediately with one generous person bidding over £70.
So, get searching in those cupboards and draws for your old comics…they could be worth a small fortune, and remember if you’re in the Sheffield area we are always looking for new donations.
