Greater Manchester
Our free health and wellbeing sessions connect people to nature-based activities to improve physical health and mental wellbeing.
We regularly have projects on offer at our nature and wellbeing hubs in Greater Manchester. Here you can enjoy varied activities, lead by one of our trained members of staff. These sessions can help you to take steps to improve your health and wellbeing, meet new people, learn more about nature and the outdoors and enhance your skills and CV.

What is green social prescribing?
Green social prescribing links people with nature-based activities to improve their health and wellbeing. Activities are varied and can include community gardening, conservation volunteering, walking groups and arts and cultural activities which take place outdoors.
Taking part in nature-based activities can benefit both mental and physical health. Evidence shows that increased connection with nature can support:
- improved mood
- increased activity levels
- improved physical health
- improved confidence and self esteem
- reduce depression, loneliness and anxiety
- new friendships and feeling part of the community
