Supporting people with additional needs
We deliver a variety of projects that engage people with physical and learning disabilities in outdoor activities including practical conservation, food growing, woodwork, bushcraft and nature walks. Our activities have proven benefits for physical health, wellbeing and the development of skills.
Our accessible community allotment in Trafford is a space where people with physical and learning disabilities take part in activities including local food growing, outdoor cooking and woodwork.
We are working in collaboration with people with learning disabilities to develop easy read resources to share with others:
- Easy read picture recipes – includes picture instructions for simple recipes that use healthy fruit and vegetables
- Nature walk activities – includes easy read nature themed walks and activities
