TCV believes that every child should have the opportunity to participate in regular, sustained and inspiring outdoor learning. Nature is amazing, and a trip to Railway Fields offers just a taste of this for kids living in Haringey. We offer engaging school sessions for Early Years, Key stages 1 & 2, all year-round during term time.
Sessions encourage exploration, working together and using senses to observe the changes in nature. Focus can be given to investigating living things and their habitats, plants & growth, minibeasts, materials, seasonal change, sustainability and many other topics – just let us know when booking!

SEND Children
Green spaces can provide a sense of calmness and freedom that learning inside the classroom simply can’t. We strive to make a visit to us as inclusive as possible, and always welcome feedback on how to improve. We have a number of quiet spaces for children to use during a visit, and our activities can be adapted to different needs. We can also deliver bespoke sessions for small groups of children with special educational needs and disabilities, such as completing simple practical work tasks in the woods.

Home Education & Free Family Events
Home Education Sessions
We run monthly meet-ups for families who home educate – aimed at parents with children ages 3-11 years. Each session has a different focus on seasonal nature, with the aim of children exploring together, getting hands-on and having the chance to socialise with other home educating families. Sessions last 90 minutes with a suggested donation of £1 per child. Email hannah.jones@tcv.org.uk to be added to our mailing list to find out more and book on to future meet-ups.
Free Family Events
We also run regular, free family events throughout the year during school holidays, from nature crafts and pond dipping, to scary Halloween trails and storytelling.
Keep an eye on our Eventbrite page @TCVHaringey and follow us on social media to be notified of upcoming events.
