The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) is inviting people across the UK to take their passion for nature a step further, with the relaunch of its Community Network membership programme in 2026, and the support of new sponsor, Zurich Insurance.
The membership is designed to support individuals and groups in creating and sustaining community green spaces.

Following the success of initiatives like TCV’s I Dig Trees, which has helped thousands of people plant trees in their local areas, TCV is now encouraging participants and new audiences alike to build on that momentum by joining its free Community Network.
The programme has been refreshed to make it easier than ever to access expert support, practical tools, and new opportunities for growing community-led environmental projects.
“We know that many people want to do more after getting involved in activities like tree planting, but aren’t always sure where to start,” said Rebecca Kennelly MBE, Chief Executive at TCV. “TCV’s Community Network is designed to give people the confidence, knowledge, and support they need to turn ideas into thriving local projects.
“TCV has a rich history of mobilising volunteers, and our Community Network empowers thousands of local community groups to protect and restore nature with local volunteers in their community green spaces.”

Will Paskins, Head of Digital Trading, Schools and Partnerships Team at Zurich said:
“At Zurich Insurance, we’re committed to supporting our customers and communities as they take meaningful action on sustainability, which is why we’re so proud to be partnering with TCV. Together, we can help local groups feel confident, protected and supported as they grow ideas into something lasting, making a real difference for people and the planet.”

Supporting Community Action at Every Stage
The Community Network offers members a wide range of benefits, including:
- Expert guidance and practical resources to help establish or grow community gardening and green space projects

These benefits are delivered through a newly improved online membership portal, providing a simple, central hub for members to access everything they need.
Helping Communities Grow Together
The relaunch comes at a time of growing interest in community-led environmental action, with more people looking to protect and restore local green spaces, support biodiversity, and bring communities together to connect with nature.
By joining the Community Network, members become part of a wider movement of people making a tangible difference in their neighbourhoods.
