The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) today announced a change to the leadership of its Board of Trustees.
Jon Towler has stepped down as Chair of the Board, having made a significant contribution to the organisation during his tenure. TCV extends its sincere thanks to Jon for his dedication, leadership and commitment in supporting the charity’s mission and strategic development.
Joanne Gilbert is our Deputy Chair and is supporting the charity in her capacity as Deputy/Vice Chair alongside other trustees whilst we formally recruit for a new Chair of Trustees.

Rebecca Kennelly, Chief Executive of TCV, said:
“We are extremely grateful to Jon for his service as Chair and for the valuable support and guidance he has provided to TCV, supporting us to connect people with nature. On behalf of the Leadership Team, Board and people across our charity, I would like to thank him for his commitment to mobilising volunteering and wish him every success for the future.”
TCV’s strategic direction, operations and ongoing commitments remain as they have always been, with a continued strong focus on delivering our vision of better nature for all.
The Board will shortly begin the formal recruitment process for a permanent Chair, supporting the next phase of TCV’s development and growth.
