Employee volunteering

Employee volunteering with TCV Sussex (individual or small groups)

More and more employers are offering their staff paid volunteering days, both as a community engagement initiative and for the wellbeing benefits. Joining a TCV conservation volunteering session can be a great way to use your volunteering day – enjoyable, meaningful and nature-based!

  • No previous experience required, no prior training required – you can take part in one of our conservation sessions as a one-off standalone activity.
  • Help improve a local green space – check our Sussex programme for locations near you.
  • Connect with nature – enjoy the fresh air, be active in the outdoors and learn about conservation.

INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS: You can join any of our community conservation volunteering sessions as an individual – simply get in touch to complete a registration form and book on.

SMALL GROUP VOLUNTEERING: If you are looking to take part as a small group (up to about 6), we’d be delighted to have you, get in touch to find out which days have capacity and how to take part.

We have sessions every weekday, mainly across Hastings/Rother/Wealden, occasionally further afield. You can meet us at our Hastings base for a lift in the minibus or arrange to meet us on site. A standard day is 9.30am pick up, 10am on site, finishing about 3pm. If you have travelled in your own vehicle, you can finish earlier if you prefer.

You don’t need any previous experience, TCV project leaders will be there to guide every task and show you how to use all the tools safely. You don’t need your own tools or equipment, we’ll have everything required for the task. All you need is sturdy shoes, suitable outdoor clothes, a packed lunch and a bottle of water.

Booking is required – please get in touch to find out more. We’ll send you a link for a registration form (individual email specific) and get you booked on.

Spending a day in the woods. A day in nature. We hope you’ll find this a wonderful way to spend your employee volunteering day.

NB. Larger groups that cannot be accommodated within an existing community volunteering day will require a bespoke session with dedicated staff time. TCV has no core funding and therefore we can only do this as a chargeable service. Please see our corporate programme.
