Our Environmental Training Programme includes a wide range of short courses including conservation and rural skills, gardening, habitat management, health and safety, outdoor learning, species identification and habitat surveying. The courses are aimed at those working in the environmental sector, conservation volunteers, and for people simply interested in learning a particular skill or in learning about a particular topic. In-person courses are usually held over one or two days, with occasional online sessions of two/three hours.
The courses are run by experienced TCV staff and external experts. There are places for up to 15 participants on most in-person courses, for which a TCV Scotland attendance certificate is normally issued. Successful participants for certain accredited courses eg Brushcutters & Trimmers will receive a Lantra certificate, and First Aid at Work courses also provides certificates.
Excellent, very informative course set at a manageable pace. Lindsay was a brilliant trainer, really approachable and provided us with a wide range of knowledge. I felt the course was also really affordable and was great value for money.
