TCV Hampshire

Fancy some fresh air and good company? Do you love being outdoors, staying active, and making a positive impact in your community? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our new Hampshire Green Gym!

Based in Nursling in the Test Valley, Hampshire England, about 4 miles north-west of the city of Southampton. The 5 Ha site is a mix of woodland, scrub and wet and dry open grassed areas and our aim is to seek opportunities to restore or enhance biodiversity.

The benefits of joining the Nursling Green Gym are

  • Being surrounded by flora and fauna to improve overall mental health, reduce anxiety and social isolation.
  • The Green Gym is a great low impact way to exercise your whole body.
  • By volunteering you will meet likeminded new people and enjoy coming together to form a team!
  • At all our sessions we aim to restore and enhance the area for the local people and wildlife.

The weekly sessions give you the opportunity to join like-minded volunteers to manage the woodland, create wildflower meadows, carry out surveys and more. So, you can be confident you’re joining a safe and welcoming project.

Weekly Green Gym sessions are:

  • Around 3 – 4 hours long
  • Supported by trained leaders
  • Inclusive with activities ranging from light to vigorous gardening or conservation work
  • A great place to meet local, like-minded people during the social tea break
  • A chance to learn new skills

Let’s get stuck in and make our community greener, cleaner, and even more beautiful — together!

Days of the week to be confirmed, get in touch to find out more: gary.underwood@tcv.org.uk / 07739 447995.
