Local People Programme

TCV has teamed up with the People’s Health Trust to deliver an exciting new scheme called the Local People Programme.

We’re working closely with local people in five places across England & Scotland to identify challenges in their community & develop ideas to help address them.

The Local People Programme gives the five communities an opportunity to engage with their neighbours in a positive way. We are supporting the increasing empowerment of local people to address wider issues in their communities and neighbourhoods through collective action.

Already people have told us that they’d like to see more activities for young people in York & we were able to help local charity Tang Hall Smart create ‘Hip Hop Shake Up! – Challenging Stereotypes Of Disability’

In Leicester, TCV have been involved in a range of social activities across the community.

Do you live in or around one of the Local People Programme areas?
