Our Partners and Funders

Working in partnership to make a difference

As a charity we rely on the support of organisations that share our determination to address the challenges facing communities today. We’re proud to be supported by local and national government, lotteries, private organisations, charities, trusts and landowners – all of whom are committed to a vision of healthier and happier communities for everyone.

Their support comes in a variety of forms: funding the development and growth of our unique Green Gyms, sponsoring food growing programmes in urban environments, protecting a valued woodland in the heart of a community or funding apprenticeships to kick-start careers in conservation.

The challenges facing communities in the UK are constant; but we know that our creative solutions, our experienced and committed teams and our network of partnerships are making a difference every single day.

We couldn’t be happier to be supporting TCV – we get to see great local projects, supported by an incredibly dedicated team, deliver a true vision for bringing together local support and green spaces. We’re really looking forward to seeing how people can make where they live an even better place to grow, live, work and age with the help of TCV.

John Hume, Chief Executive People’s Health Trust

We would like to thank the following organisations for supporting our work

Nesta and the Cabinet Office

Nesta logoNesta and the Cabinet Office have supported the scaling up of Green Gyms across the country, through the Centre for Social Action Innovation Fund.

Scottish Natural Heritage and the Scottish Government.

Scottish Natural Heritage logoTCV Scotland works in partnership with both Scottish Natural Heritage and the Scottish Government.

The vital funding supports a range of activity which contributes to a range of social, economic and environmental outcomes.

Key amongst these are enabling more people to enjoy and learn about the outdoors through volunteering; improving people’s health and well-being; providing new experiences and developing skills; delivering work to care for and improve the nature and landscapes of Scotland; building stronger communities and commitment to improving their local environment.

TCV has been working in partnership with RBS for 10 years, during which time over 16,500 RBS employees have volunteered through the Team Challenge initiative, generating the equivalent of an incredible 115,000 volunteering hours.

Since 2007 the bank’s employees from across the UK have undertaken vital conservation projects. Together they have helped to deliver hundreds of projects which make a difference for thousands of people in local communities every single day of the year.

Working together, TCV provides RBS employees with the opportunity to contribute energy, skills and time to their local community and supports them in becoming a more engaged, healthy and inclusive workforce
