Join the Biodiversity Action Team – North London
The Conservation Volunteers carry out practical nature conservation volunteering activities all over North London. This can involve anything from scything meadows to creating new ponds, tree planting to footpath construction.
Based at Railway Fields Nature Reserve in Haringey, we run volunteer events every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Further details of individual events can be found below.
Sessions usually run from 10 – 3pm and lifts from our base are available on request.
There is no minimum commitment, so why not give it a try?

Site manager? What we can do for you
The Conservation Volunteers is the country’s leading practical conservation charity.
Our teams of volunteers can tackle all kinds of environmental work from clearing out ancient waterways and ponds, to building steps to improve public access to parks and open spaces. We will clear invasive undergrowth or plant new trees and hedges. Community and school garden make-overs also feature regularly in our programme, whether you want a quiet spot for residents or a pond dipping and nature study area in your school grounds.
Site owners – if you have a project you think we might be able to help with, please contact Mat (details below).
