East Ham Nature Reserve Heritage and Conservation Volunteers (Newham Green Gym)
East Ham Nature Reserve has a large population of lizards and slow worms, small mammals and a wide variety of mini-beasts. They need sunny open grassland to survive. The open areas at the Nature Reserve are being taken over by trees, brambles and ivy. We need your help to maintain it. There are tasks for all abilities from gentle gardening to challenging tree cutting. Please come and join us.
Green Gym – Greenway Orchard – Community led
The volunteer-led sessions, supported by Plaistow South Big Local, run every Thursday from 10:45am to 2pm. Volunteering is free, simple and no experience is necessary. For more information, or to join us, please contact Milena on 07957 534908
The Green Gym takes place every Thursday no matter what time of year.
