For more than 65 years, The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) has been bringing people and green spaces together. Every year, more than 100,000 people connect with nature through our work, improving their wellbeing, building confidence and skills, strengthening communities and creating healthier places for both people and wildlife.
Now, we’re looking for an exceptional individual to join us as Chair of our Board of Trustees.
This is a unique opportunity to help guide a charity with a strong heritage and an ambitious future. Working closely with our Chief Executive, Rebecca Kennelly, executive team and dedicated Board of Trustees, our new Chair will help ensure TCV remains resilient, financially sustainable and focused on creating lasting impact for people, communities and nature.
At TCV, we believe in a future where everyone can experience, enjoy, protect and restore the natural world. We work alongside people from all walks of life, with a particular focus on communities that face barriers to accessing and enjoying the outdoors. As we look ahead, we’re seeking a Chair who shares our passion for conservation and social impact, and who can help champion our mission to partners, supporters and communities across the UK.
We’re looking for someone with a sound understanding of charity leadership and governance, the ability to provide strategic guidance and the confidence to act as an ambassador for TCV. Previous experience as a Chair would be welcome, but it’s not essential. What matters most is the ability to lead with integrity, curiosity and a sense of shared purpose.
We are keen for our leadership to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve and warmly welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
The role is open to candidates from across the UK, including Scotland and Northern Ireland.
