From now until Monday 25th January, everyone involved in social prescribing is encouraged to enter the 2021 Social Prescribing Network Awards. The awards will be presented at the 3rd International Social Prescribing Network conference on 4th – 5th March 2021.
Now in its second year, the awards programme recognises and celebrates the wealth of innovative social prescribing projects and schemes running throughout the UK and internationally. This year, entries are likely to reflect the challenges the social prescribing community has faced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
TCV are thrilled to announce that we are sponsoring a new award this year, together with the National Lottery. The Award for Best Community-Based Organisation in Social Prescribing recognises any type of community group or organisation that is associated with social prescribing pathways.
The National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) has funded TCV to act as lead in the development of quality assurance process for social prescribing.
The grant has enabled TCV to work with the VCSE across the UK, NHS England, Public Health Scotland, Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland, local healthcare services, commissioners, academics and charities to support them when developing their own social prescribing programme.
Other awards being presented at the Social Prescribing Network Awards will recognise local social prescribing projects, social prescribing projects for children and young people, the most inspiration service user and much more.
The Social Prescribing Awards are organised by Chamberlain Dunn on behalf of the Social Prescribing Network and the College of Medicine.
