This year, we are celebrating 60 years of connecting people and green spaces.
Since 1959 TCV has brought people together to create, improve and care for green spaces. From local parks and community gardens to nature reserves, school and hospital grounds, to waterways, wetlands and woodlands, TCV has connected people to the green spaces that form a vital part of any healthy, happy community.
This important funding will enable us to support even more communities
Darren York, TCV Chief Executive
TCV’s Community Network helps TCV to extend its reach right across the Country, supporting almost 900 community groups who are committed to protecting their local environment and precious green spaces. Members enjoy a range of practical conservation guides, a range of discounts and offers, funding support, a dedicated website and a regular newsletter.
In celebration of its 60th anniversary and thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery, TCV is able to offer Community Network membership (which usually costs £38 annually) free of charge to both existing and new members.
Membership is open to any community group, club, school or local organisation who share TCV’s passion for improving green spaces to benefit the community and local wildlife.
Darren York, TCV Chief Executive said “This important funding will enable us to support even more communities, working together to improve the places where people live and tackle the issues that matter most to them.”
Will Humpington, Climate Change and Environmental Programmes Advisor at People’s Postcode Lottery said, “We are delighted that, through the support of our players, TCV is able to celebrate this key milestone by connecting and supporting even more conservation groups across the country.”
