The Royal Visit, which saw His Royal Highness visit the Cochrane Hall, Alva Glen, Dollar Museum and Mill Green, was to mark the imminent opening of the Hillfoots Diamond Jubilee Way, one of the Ochils Landscape Partnership’s main projects.
The Conservation Volunteers work in partnership with the Ochils Landscape Partnership, offering a seconded member of TCV staff, Amanda Joaquin as part of the core OLP team to facilitate the organisation and delivery of a range of environmental engagement, volunteer opportunities and improvement projects.
His Royal Highness viewed displays showing a photographic record of work carried out so far on projects across the Hillfoots communities. Amanda focussed on her delivery of work within the Ochils Landscape Partnership, Outdoor Environmental Projects with Hillfoots Primary Schools, Volunteer Conservation Programme and the Ochils Festival.
His Royal Highness was particularly interested in the range of environmental engagement and improvement projects Amanda was involved in with the local primary school children and volunteer work.
