The Conservation Volunteers at Skelton Grange and M&S get together to #SparkSomethingGood!
TCV’s Skelton Grange Environment Centre invited staff and customers from M&S to come along and help out with some improvements to their much loved site in South Leeds.
It was all part of M&S’s Spark Something Good campaign which is the retailer’s way of doing something good in the communities in which they operate – so far they've visited five cities across the UK, transforming 24 local community projects with the help of customers and employees.
It was great to see so many smiling faces! The volunteers included M&S staff and customers, those that found out about the project through Neighbourly.com and TCV Skelton's dedicated regulars from Green Team. The vegetable garden, sensory garden, forest garden, wood store and children's play areas are all looking much better for it! We even saw some old acquaintances re-united with the project after many years since their last visit. We'd like to say a big thanks to all involved and encourage more businesses and volunteers to get involved in the future.
