Some of you may have seen TCV on the National Lottery draw live on Saturday 23rd November
Our Hollybush Centre has a four year grant of £336,964 from the BIG Lottery for its Volunteer Inclusion and Support Programme.
This allows Hollybush to run 3 sessions each week for adults who are less able or who prefer to do a short day at the Centre as an alternative to a full day of practical conservation out in the countryside or school grounds.
It also funds the Volunteer Coordinator who interviews over 400 new volunteers each year and provides support and mentoring for around 80 individuals who are volunteering over several months or years.
Hollybush were delighted to be put forward by BIG Lottery in Yorkshire and the Humber to represent the great things that Lottery funding achieves.
Over 15 people were interviewed by the film crew on one of those beautiful clear November days, however only 4 made it to the final edit. The film editor made a great job of telling a representative and moving story in just 1min 10 seconds.

9 volunteers and 3 staff made the long journey south to Pinewood for the live recording, after 6 rehearsals Jess (Vol coordinator) and Peter; volunteer kept their nerve and said their pieces.
It was a great experience and fantastic to get so much feedback from friends and funders.
