In her mind Tanya was always ready to go back to work but her struggle was always in finding the right opportunity to fit around her childcare responsibilities. When Tanya joined TCV in January she was fast tracked on to our SSU course to prepare her for retail opportunities with Aldi.
We worked with Tanya to find opportunities that met her needs and as a result TCV brokered an opportunity that was just right for her. After an interview and a short work trial Tanya is now working for Aldi.
Tanya has a huge smile on her face as she tells us “TCV provided me with tailored support and found me a job that fits my lifestyle”. And Tanya has a clear message for all single parents “Don’t assume that your are automatically written off because you are a single parent, TCV have successfully supported me into work that fits precisely around my duties as a parent”.
