The Conservation Volunteers Supports Remember A Charity Week 2020

September 7, 2020

Now more than ever charities across the UK are relying on gifts in Wills from supporters like you to help our work live on.

Which is why The Conservation Volunteers are supporting Remember A Charity Week. The week encourages people to pass on something wonderful by leaving a gift in their Will, after they’ve taken care of friends and family.

TCV will be supporting the week by sharing details on how to create a Will, how to leave a gift to TCV in your Will, and the stories about the important work TCV carries out that your gift will support.

Former Strictly Come Dancing head judge and professional ballroom dancer, Len Goodman, and 2010 Glitterball trophy winner and actress Kara Tointon will be joining UK charities in support of this year’s Remember A Charity Week (7th – 13th September 2020).

In addition to Len and Kara’s involvement, Remember A Charity Week will also see the launch of a heart-warming campaign inspired by 1970s favourites, The Wombles.

The animated film shines a light on the importance of charities work, inspiring people to consider including their favourite charity in their Will. UK charities will also be spreading the work on the importance of gifts in Wills across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter throughout #RememberACharityWeek.

Amy Brighton, Fundraising Manager at TCV, said: “We are delighted to be part of this year’s Remember A Charity Week, encouraging our supports to pass on something wonderful to the next generation. Gifts in Wills are crucial to our charity’s work – both now and long into the future.

Gifts left in Wills could help us to improve the wellbeing of people, conserve well-loved outdoor spaces, and bring communities and green spaces together for years to come.”
