Key Volunteers

When you volunteer with TCV you can choose to become more involved by using your own time to support staff and volunteer officers to achieve the day to day running of the project.

If you’d like to get involved on a regular basis, or a more in-depth role, there are opportunities in many of TCV’s projects for Key Volunteers to support our projects, and help us achieve more. It is a fundamental part of all our work to involve volunteers in helping to run the organisation.

Who are Key Volunteers?

Key volunteers provide valuable support to help us run our environmental and community projects. In return, we give you the training and support you need to carry out your role, including access to OLLIE – our online training platform. This is not a leadership or supervisory role, but some key volunteer roles may require DBS and other safeguarding checks.

What you can expect

  • Vocational experience with the opportunity to enhance your employability
  • Opportunity to develop your existing skills and use them to support TCV
  • Flexible opportunities – can fit around study/work
  • Training and support suitable to the role including access to our Online Training Platform.
  • A defined role to support local TCV needs with an agreed role description
  • An experienced line manager to oversee your training and development
  • All tools, materials and safety equipment to do the job will be provided
  • Branded TCV key volunteer t-shirt or polo shirt
  • Reasonable travel expenses.

Look for Key Volunteer opportunities or contact your local office to find out what’s available near you.
