Our teams of volunteers tackle all kinds of environmental work from clearing overgrown ponds to building footpaths to improve public access within parks and open spaces. We clear invasive plant species and plant wildflowers, trees and hedges. And we help create community gardens, food growing spaces and school nature gardens.
Our conservation teams currently run in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Forth Valley. No previous experience is required and our trained leaders are always on hand to make sure everyone knows what they are doing and why. And more volunteering opportunities are available with our Green Gyms in Ayr, Bo’ness, Coatbridge, Stirling and Clackmannanshire. If you’re unsure whether these activities are for you, why not come along for a ‘taster’ day and see how you get on! To find out how to join in get in touch with your local office.
