Lochshore, Kilbirnie (North Ayrshire)

North Ayrshire Council and Scottish Enterprise are working on an exciting project to transform Lochshore into a parkland destination for the benefit of local communities and visitors alike.

Over the next 5 years a phased investment in the site will see a wide number of environmental enhancements to the site. This will include the creation of a new Visitor and Community Hub to facilitate a wider range of outdoor activity across the site.

A number of new leisure routes will allow greater exploration of the site and there will be significant habitat improvements and tree planting. New play facilities will be installed across the site as well as a heritage trail. Access to the site will also be enhanced by new active travel routes connecting to local communities and Glengarnock train station.
